Nimonik releases features, bug fixes and performance improvements on a rolling basis. We have no downtime during releases. This page contains the past six months of changes as well as upcoming changes that may affect usage of the web or mobile application.

2024 Planned Upgrades :
- CLCO Register page improvements: We will be making the a number of large improvements to the CLCO (requirements within documents) page that we have recently made to the CO page (Freeze and filter by column headings)
- Better Full Text of Documents: Nimonik will improve the structure and appearance of documents within its regulatory and standards database.
- Improvements to creating audit from CO: Nimonik will be improving the process for creating audits from COs, and simplifying the questions
- Audit improvements: Based on feedback gathered over the summer, we will be making a number of improvements to the audit module
- Library Updates Regulatory Newsletter Upgrades:
- Allow users to set the frequency of their newsletters – Users will be able to set custom newsletter frequencies on the account settings page. This will allow you to receive newsletters weekly, monthly, quarterly or at any other frequency that you prefer.
- Reduce duplication in update content – We will be making a number of changes to the Update page (example) so that we can reduce the amount of duplication that appears in the update text
- Improve navigation – We will be changing the names of some of the report options on the website (‘Customize Report’ for example) so that their function is clearer. We will also be opening links in new tabs, allowing you to check them without losing your place in the report
- Send report as a PDF – Instead of a link that expires, we will be attaching a PDF version of the newsletter directly to the email.
- Improve content order – We will be adjusting the order of the report so that Provinces/States appear under their parent countries
- Improve headings – We will be moving the status and changes type into the report entries, and strictly using the Jurisdiction for the headings.
- Table of contents – We will be adding a table of contents to the beginning of the report which will allow you to quickly jump to specific sections.
- Formatting improvements within entries – We will be improving the spacing, sizing, and order of information within the newsletter entries to better emphasize the most important information
July 2024
- Compliance Dashboard: A dashboard for tracking updates, completed assessments, controls, concordance and compliance gaps.
- Read standards on mobile applications (iOS and Android)
- Support Chatbot – ask our support chatbot questions about the application and its usage
- Regulatory Chatbot – addition of Ontario jurisdiction to the regulatory Chatbot
June 2024
- Regulatory Chatbot – chat with regulatory content from the United States, Canada, and Alberta in our secure locally hosted regulatory chatbot
- Library Updates Report:
- Fixing URLs – Add hyperlinks to amending document titles. These links will bring you to the amending document page in Nimonik.
- Improve date handling – We will be changing the order of the dates that appear in the newsletter so that they are more intuitive. We will also be hiding blank dates

- Multi-lingual registers: View English and local language regulatory titles and descriptions alongside each other in your compliance obligations (legal registers)
April 2024 Changes
- Addition of Industry Standards: Nimonik added many industry standards to its database and make them available in PDF, Print and Subscription format.
March 2024 Changes
- Allow users to request standards from the library: A new button has been added to the library page that will allow users to reach out to our sales team to request standards
- Allow documents to be locked for accounts: The full text and CLCO version of locked documents will not be visible to non-paying accounts. Instead users will see the option to reach out to our team to unlock the documents. This feature will be used for standards (coming soon)
- Replace chart tool: The tool that was used to generate the charts that appear in audit reports was replaced by a new one

February 2024 Changes
- Bug fix: CO select all option is not working as expected for Bulk Delete: A bug was causing the cross page select all to behave strangely when filters were applied in a CO
- Upgrade Ruby – Ruby was upgraded beyond 3.1 on Nimonikapp and the legislation server
- Bug fix: “&” character not displayed correctly on Nimonik Library page and legislation info page: A minor bug was causing special characters such as & to appear incorrectly. It has now been corrected
- Add new relationships (change types) for standards: Two new change types (Superseded and Withdrawn) have been added. These will be used as for standards as they are added to the database
- Add category filter to the library clause page: A category filter has been added to the library CLCO page
- Add MPS recordal to footer of nimonikapp.cn: Nimonik’s MPS recordal information has been added to the footer of the Chinese website
- Bug fix: New documents are not appearing in search results: A bug was causing certain documents to be excluded from search results. The underlying issue has now been resolved, and additional monitoring tools have been put in place to help prevent similar issues from arising in the future
- Removed CLCO Clause actions: A new clause level action type has been created to allow users to receive notifications when clauses in their CLCOs are removed (more info)
- Add ‘read more’ option to internal actions: For internal actions with long notes, users will now be able to click ‘read more’ to see the complete text in a modal

January 2024 Changes
- Add show legislation revisions API: Users will be able to use this API to see the details of specific legislation revisions
- Add legislation revision ID to items API: Users will now be able to see the corresponding legislation revision ID for each document level action returned through the items API
- Add include_in_report to legislation revisions APIs: Users will be able to see the include_in_report value of legislation revisions returned through the API. This indicates whether or not the change is visible in the library updates report and digest
- Bug fix: Special characters not appearing correctly in new and updated documents report: Due to a bug, special characters were not appearing correctly in certain columns of the report. This issue has now been corrected
- Move link to Library Updates Report to the Library Drop-Down: The link to the library updates report has been moved from the reports dropdown to the library dropdown
- Increase the number of characters of clause text on the library clause page: The character limit has been increased to match the CLCO page
- Make findings auto save: Audit findings will now be automatically saved when the user clicks outside of the text field
- Adjust responsible party filter to include register level responsible party: Previously, register level responsible party was not being properly included in the results of this filter. This issue has now been corrected
- Legislation Page: Show option to view clauses above full text: A link has been added above the full text to allow the user to view the CLCO version of the document
- Show clause class on the library clause page: A new column has been added to the page that will show the class (Obligation, Applicability, Obligation for Government, Informational) of each clause. Obligations will also be highlighted for increased visibility.
- Bug fix: PDF exports of library updates report: A bug was causing PDF exports of the report to be limited to one page. This has now been corrected
- Show clause class on the CLCO page: A new column has been added to the page that will show the class (Obligation, Applicability, Obligation for Government, Informational) of each clause. Obligations will also be highlighted for increased visibility.
- Improve the way PDF documents are shown on Legislation Page: PDF documents will now be shown in PDF format instead of plain text format
- Add “Standards Store” to top menu: A link has been added to the top menu that will allow users to visit document-center.com and purchase standards.
- Add topic filter to Library updates report: A topic filter has been added to the library updates report
