Background Information
In January 2024, Nimonik Inc. (Nimonik) announced the acquisition of Document Center Inc. (Document Center).
The team at Nimonik is excited to offer its modern platform to over 5,000 Document Center customers and the broader market across the United States. Nimonik covers over 550,000 regulations worldwide in over 600 jurisdictions and Document Center has over 500,000 Industrial Standards in its online store and subscription platform. Combined, the two companies offer the only integrated solution to manage compliance information from both regulations and standards. Document Center customers will gain access to regulatory data across the United States and internationally.

- By April 30th, 2024 all Document Center Subscription Accounts and their data will be migrated from Document Center Standards Online to the Nimonik platform.
- Our Team will create Nimonik accounts for all active Document Center Subscribers and populate those accounts with the Standards each customer currently subscribes to.
- On April 16th, Nimonik will host a webinar about the transition and showcase how to manage Standards on the Nimonik platform. Sign up for the webinar here.
- By April 19th, all account administrators will have been invited to join their Organization’s Nimonik account.
- On May 1st, the Document Center Standards Online server will be shut down.
- The online store Document-center.com will continue to sell Standards in PDF & Print formats.
How to Access & Manage Standards on Nimonik
Moving forward, Document Center Subscribers will use Nimonik to access & manage their Standards. Watch this video or follow the short guide below to learn more about how to do this with Nimonik easily.
Step 1 – Login
Log in to your Nimonik account here. If you do not have access to your account, contact your account administrator or email support@nimonik.com.
Step 2 – View Facilities
On the Home Page, you will see an overview of all the Facilities set up for your account. The Facilities structure in Nimonik will mirror the same structure that your organization had on Document Center Standards Online.
Step 3 – Access CO Registers
To view the Standards your organization subscribes to, click the “CO Registers” button, then click the title of your CO Register to view the list.
Step 4 – Access and View Standards
On the CO Register’s page, you will see the full list of Standards your organization subscribes to for that specific facility. From here, you can click the title to open the document page.
Once the document page loads, you can read the full Standard by clicking the “PDF” icon next to the title. You can also scroll down to view all of the previous versions of the Standard.
Step 5 – Receive & React to Notifications
Unlike Document Center’s Standards Online, where notifications come separately from an email, with Nimonik all notifications about updated and new versions of Standards will be visible and available directly on the Nimonik platform.
In other words, whenever a Standard you subscribe to is updated, you will be informed within the software via External Actions and outside the software via a weekly email. It is important to note that you must close these External Actions and leave notes to indicate you have acknowledged the new version of the standard. This will create a paper trail and improve your conformance program.
Step 6 – Additional Features
You can also take advantage of the other features included in Nimonik’s CO Register module, such as:
- Upgrade to gain access to regulatory data across the United States and internationally
- Organize Standards using the Category field
- Easily view a document’s current status
- Assess Standards for conformance and capture any notes
- Assign an individual or a team of users as the Responsible Party for the document
- Create and assign Internal Actions to bring your organization into compliance
- Conduct risk assessments of compliance requirements
- Link procedures and policies to documents
- Optionally receive notifications about Standards and updates to other Standards you have not purchased
Nimonik is the World’s First Software to Integrate Regulations & Standards
The most significant benefit of the transition to Nimonik is that Document Center Subscription customers will also be able to access regulatory data from the United States and internationally. This will allow organizations to integrate regulations and Standards on a single platform. This combination will allow engineering teams and compliance teams to work together to ensure ongoing operational compliance across their locations.

Future Improvements in 2024 and Beyond
Standards Available at the Clause Level
We hope to offer subscribers the opportunity to view and assess standards at the clause level, just like how Nimonik customers can view legislation (Acts, Regulations, Codes) at the clause level.
Expansion of Standards offered on Document-center.com
As we sign more agreements with Standard Development Organizations (SDOs), we will be able to offer a great quantity and wider variety of Standards for purchase. This growing collection of Standards will also be available for the subscription service.
RedLine
Redline of PDFs of standards will be available in mid-2024.
New & Improved Website for Document Center
Currently, we are developing a brand new version of the webstore at Document-center.com. These upgrades will allow you to search for Standards using keywords, buy Standards with one click or in bulk via your cart, and easily purchase bundles that include red-line comparisons between versions. We hope to unveil this new website sometime this summer!
Two Ways to Obtain Standards
- Retail sales via PDF & Print on Document-Center.com
- Upgraded subscription platform for standards on Nimonikapp.com
We will continue to offer retail sales, subscription service and alerts when standards are updated. We will continue the exceptional customer service that Document Center provides.
Nimonik and Document Center now offer service and support globally with staff in the United States, Canada, Asia and Europe. Assigned customer success team members will help subscribers manage their collections effectively.
